CAT FAILED TO CHASE THE MOUSE

As this is a well known fact that this year the CAT failed to chase the mouse , but , the fact that their is a dilemma still lingering in the ears of CAT aspirants whether could there be a fair judgement to all those aspiring souls?

The Answer to this question will be disclosed on Jan 22 ,2010. But prior to that what about those aspirants who couldn't turn up thier web pages. Will their be a fair analysis ? , Will their be a proper judgement? , Will their be those percentiles for the aspirants who hindered the change for which there haven't had expected and attempted the exam waiting their hard 20-25 seconds for turning up to their next question?

Here, In this article , I want to tell you about my expedition in attempting CAT-2009 with its most freaking ON-LINE format. It was the day on which the lowest temperature ( 13 celsius) recorded among the five cosmopolitan cities( I include Hyderabad with the four). Surely , I have not expected that these temperatures would chill my nerves with the way the PROMETRIC conducted the exam . My exam was on Nov 30 , centered at CBIT , Hyderabad(we use to call it as Happy days college because of the contemporary movie 'Happy days' ). It was by 6:00 am , I left to the centre from my staying. After a prolonged journey of one hour, finally , I reached my centre( It was 22 Km away from my stay).With a tug of inspiration , I entered my examination hall. The IIMs inparticularly made it clear that no student will be allowed after 8:00 am but the genuine thing is that the prometric staff itself couldn't turnup till 8:30am. Then followed a tight security check up and with that they asked each of us to be get queued.I was the first to be in line but to my astonishment they bewildered me saying that they won't posses my name in the list . Anyhow , after a good search they found my name and made me to enter the examination hall.

They had my thumb print followed by a good photo of mine . There was a compulsory 15 minute demo prior to CAT which each of us have passed through. Till then the was a pin drop silence in the lab , By then when the proctor asked each one of us to turn on our exam paper ,
started the real problem. I was one of those luckiest guys(since i am not a girl) who turnup their pages because there were five of the students who couldn't turn up their pages( Radically there were seated exactly to the back of mine.). Being a US based organisation and holding a multi million project for conducting an exam , did the PROMETRIC could have not even think of taking a worthful staff to the students? Does this is what for the purpose we have paid Rs.1400/- to IIMs? Knowing the fact that these student couldn't turn up their pages still the staff there tried to pretend in every possible way giving unprecidented hope for those students turning the switch button of those fogged PCs ON and OFF.

As said there were 60 questions divided among each of the three sections with a varying difficulty levels.I have to do every possible attempt of mine for that I have made every possible strategy in cracking these 60 question in that stipulated period of time. For just a minute, I thought Am I missing anything right now ? And the answer was just the knowledge that every minute spent at this point of time will completely become the new greatest minute of my life.With that I completed my exam . One of the most freaking thing with me was the cacophony of the staff members in the lab. I was bewildered that whether the staff who was warning us in regular intervals about the prefixed audio - vedieo spying cams didn't even notice that they too monitor the staff or it could be like they don't want rest of us writting the exam quietly ( since five of us were out).

Finally , the exam went under considerable circumstances . Hoping for a good score , aiming for the best suitable B-school for me , I prashant closing here with lots thanks for the reading this article with patience.

I would like a quick feed back from the reader, if , I deserve it in meeting the worth of standards one is expected in posting an article(because this is my first time).
